How to Apply Your 2015–2016 Ford Bed Decals

Prep the panel

  • Wash the truck bed side thoroughly.
  • Wipe the decal area with rubbing alcohol or a wax/grease remover to strip off any wax, silicone, or residue.
  • Let the surface dry completely.

Test fit the decal

  • Hold the decal (with backing still on) up to the panel.
  • Check alignment and placement so it matches the original location or your preferred position.

Peel the backing

  • Carefully peel away the white backing sheet so the printed design stays on the clear transfer film.
  • Avoid touching the adhesive with your fingers as much as possible.

Apply and smooth

  • Place the transfer film onto the truck bed side in your marked position.
  • Starting from the center and working outward, press firmly over the entire decal using a squeegee, plastic card, or your fingers.
  • Work out any air bubbles or wrinkles.

Remove the transfer film

  • Slowly peel the clear transfer film back at a low angle.
  • The decal should stay bonded to the paint, leaving a clean, OEM-style graphic behind.

Final check

  • Gently press over the decal edges one more time to ensure full adhesion.
  • Avoid high-pressure washing or harsh chemicals on the area for at least 24 hours.
